i feel like i make these posts about twice a year after i take an accidental hiatus. well, surprise! it is me and i am back.

let's get started with where i've been and what i've been doing then we will jump into future plans.

what's been going on?

despite my name - Artistically Intoxicated - i am actually sober and have been sober since may 26, 2024. i have been focusing on that mostly, with my art on the back burner. however, i am ready to jump back into my art and posting more blogs and other social content. (what content? that has yet to be decided lol.) I have been doing some painting, with my current inspiration using yellow WET PAINT tape. I signed up to vend the fall Makers' Market at the 1623 Brewery on October 20 and have been preparing for that. GREETING CARDS!!

what is currently happening?

right now, my main focus is to get back to creating art and posting on social media. i want to share my art with as many people as possible. i am also working on the business side of things, such as prepping to sell at the market, which will prep me for any other markets i do. it is about to be holiday time and would like to vend at one or two more markets this season.

future plans:

the first thing i am working on is figuring out what i truly enjoy doing. i love writing my blogs and sending my emails, however, between life and my full-time job, i don't always have the time to sit and think about what i want to write about. coming up with a plan for social posting and blogs is one of my first priorities.

i love creating art (duh) but are the paintings i am creating now feeding my creative drive or starving me of trying new techniques? i already have some new techniques and looks i want to try! keep your eyes peeled for that.

posting my art on my website feeds my love for admin work, but i don't have a solid plan of where to take my art photos. creating a space to do that is in the middle of the list.

i feel like i could go on forever with a list of what i want to do with this art business, but i will get excited and try to add too many things to my plate. then i will crash and burn again. don't want that to happen!

everyone loves a good list so here is a list of what is happening (hopefully) before 2025:

  1. create blog post schedule a month in advance (blog post every two-three weeks)

  2. creating a library of content to post on social media - not too worried about a schedule yet, but goal is 5-6 posts a week if not more.

  3. give myself time to create more art

  4. vend at 2 holiday markets

  5. build photo area in my studio to take photos of my art to post on my website.

okay, thank you for being nosy and reading. talk to you soon!
