DREAMS

Although I am not a professional artist, I like to dream what it would be like to be one. I study Communications in school, however, I am learning quickly as graduation approaches, I cannot seem to find a job in the communications field. I often question if I chose the wrong path, however I know that the perfect job will one day find me.
My dream job would to one day own a gallery. I'd name it "White Space." I probably could come up with some more ideas on that, but I like to think more of the look and feel of it than the name. I would want to concept to be simple: small artists with the hunger to do more. I want small, unknown artists to know that there is a space for them to showcase their work. Obviously there would be some sort of selection process, but I want anyone to be able to show their work in a gallery setting.
The walls would be white. The outside of the building would be white-painted brick. I like the industrial look. The floors would be walnut wood flooring. Maybe gray masonry flooring, but I'm not sure. I want the art to be the only color in the room. I want the art to be what catches the eye most.
I would hold parties whenever we change out the old art with the new. $5 a person. I want this gallery to be accessible to anyone. The admission would be free. I'd want it in a hip part of town. Artists can submit files to be used on prints to sell in a shop. Maybe a cracker and cheese bar, too.
That's all I have for now. I'll probably write a full blog post in the coming days with doodles of what I would want the gallery to look like and a full business plan. I'm not sure if I should put that all on the internet for people to see and potentially steal. I still am going to anyway.
